Lithuanian Easter Egg Decorating Workshop

Parishioners and friends join together each Palm Sunday at Annunciation to decorate Easter eggs according to time honored Lithuianian traditions. The eggs, called Marguciai in Lithuanian, are used to decorate tables on Easter Sunday, and for playing traditional games after the family's Easter meal.
First Holy Communion
Sunday, May 6, 2007, six of Annunciation's youngest parishioners, received their First Holy Communion with other Maironis and Kazickas Lithuanian Saturday School at Transfiguration Church in Maspeth. Before going to Maspeth the children attended Childrens' Liturgy at Annunciation. They were presented with gifts from their parish at the end of Mass. Annunciation parishioner Salvijus Kungys taught the class. Dr. Milda Palubinskaite teaches Childrens' Liturgy the first Sunday of the month.
